Yesterday was unbearably hot and humid.
It’s June end.
According to the weatherman, monsoon hit the Kerala coast early this month….lots of clouds floating in the sky everyday ,but no sign of rain….it should be pouring by now !!!
The farmers have readied the fields, it’s time to sow the seeds …but the land is parched, the reservoirs are fast drying up…
I wish, I had a vending machine that could bring ‘Rain’. Just put in a few coins and watch the dark clouds gather, hear the claps of thunder, see the lightning flash and enjoy the rain.
But alas, it’s just a wishful thinking…
“We reap what we sow. We are the makers of our own fate.
The wind is blowing; those vessels whose sails are unfurled
catch it, and go forward on their way, but those which have
their sails furled do not catch the wind. Is that the fault of
the wind?……. We make our own destiny. “
– Swami Vivekananda
We better wake up and take care of our environment, before it is too late….
