“What images does “relic” conjure for you? A well-worn piece of blue beach glass, the faded pencil markings from a high-school journal, or the curmudgeonly character from the CBC television series, The Beachcombers? “
Golconda Fort, India -This 13th Century relic has seen the rise and fall of many dynasties and is also the original home of the famous Koh-i-noor, diamond.
If you are lucky( unlucky) you might get a glimpse of Taramati, courtesan turned queen wandering in the ruins.
Really !!!
Check out National Geography Traveller India.

Yes….love the way, the guides there explain,(at times over dramatise) the Forts’ history..

Hyderabad has many historical structures but none as towering as Golconda Fort. One must not miss the light and sound show that happens everyday in the evening. Thanks for sharing lovely photo.
Do visit my relics as well. Thanks 🙂
