With mercury levels in India, hovering around 40°C, anyone Summer Lovin’ ???
Yes !! Yes !!! As the humid, sweltering summer approaches we get the opportunity to escape the heat and travel to hill stations which have little to do with rising temperature and hustle and bustle of city life.
Here we are on our way to World’s highest Organic Tea Garden – Kolukkumalai Tea Estate.
At 8000 ft above sea level, located precariously atop a hill range, the drive is most scenic and breath taking.
Finally, we reach the sprawling tea estate.
The orthodox tea making process is a seven step process – withering, rolling, sieving, fermenting, drying, fiber extraction and grading. This small factory in the center of the estate was built by the British in 1930.
