Show us something you love. It could be your favorite novel, the light of the moon on your deck at night, the beach on a hot day, or that special you-know-who. Get creative!
With mercury levels in India, hovering around 40°C, anyone Summer Lovin’ ???
Yes !! Yes !!! As the humid, sweltering summer approaches we get the opportunity to escape the heat and travel to hill stations which have little to do with rising temperature and hustle and bustle of city life.
Here we are on our way to World’s highest Organic Tea Garden – Kolukkumalai Tea Estate.
At 8000 ft above sea level, located precariously atop a hill range, the drive is most scenic and breath taking.
Finally, we reach the sprawling tea estate.
The orthodox tea making process is a seven step process – withering, rolling, sieving, fermenting, drying, fiber extraction and grading. This small factory in the center of the estate was built by the British in 1930.
That looks like an amazing experience! Anything tea related is good for me!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

When I was in Sri Lanka many years ago, we drove up to Kandy through the tea-growing regions and spent the night in one of them. The scent of tea so permeated my nostrils, that I could not stand the smell of tea for years afterwards and to this day, I can only drink herbal tea. Did you have any of that sensation when visiting this tea plantation? Enjoyed the words and pictures. Judy
