This is in response to –Those Dishes Won’t Do Themselves
What’s the household task you most dislike doing? Why do you think that is — is it the task itself, or something more?
6:30 a.m -I toss and turn in the bed. I am wide awake. I hear my husband close the front door as he leaves for his morning walk. Sunlight streams into the room. I close my eyes again. My father-in-law is in the kitchen making a cup of tea for himself. I hear water gushing out of the tap as he fills the kettle, the familiar ‘click, click, click’ sound follows. I need to buy a new gas lighter or should I buy a new stove with auto- ignition instead. I pull the blanket over my head.
7:00 a.m – I drag myself out of the bed. Brush my teeth, put on the housecoat. A few more minutes, I tell myself. I stop to check my emails and Facebook updates.
7:15 a.m- I take a deep breathe, open the door.
‘ What’s for breakfast, today ?‘my mother-in-law asks.
I want to jump back into the bed.
Planning..planning the menu for the day gives me headache.
Yes, I have heard of weekly meal planning and it’s benefits 🙂
I hate doing the dishes too (when my wife is unwell), but i love doing laundry though!

Weekly meal plans are time consuming! I plan meals for myself only and even then it can be a headache. Sometimes I just plan the same me for weekdays just to get it over and done with 😀

Planning meals gets worse as you get older because the thrill of planning, shopping, and cooking is long gone. 🙂
